Housing Works is pleased to
announce the re-opening of the Project Based Voucher Waiting List for two different communities in Central Oregon starting at 8:00 a.m. on Monday December 1, 2025, through 5:00 p.m.
Monday December 8, 2025. See below for specific details related to each waitlist and their
community location/preferences.
Applicants must apply to each Project Based Voucher Waiting Lists by submitting a complete pre application in person at either Housing Works office located at: 405 SW 6th St., Redmond OR 97756 or our Bend office: 1475 NE Forbes Rd. Suite 110, Bend OR 97701. Pre-applications can also be placed in the drop box
located in front of each building, faxing to 541-923-6441 or by email to stephanie@housing
-works.org
Income limits and occupancy standards apply please note these Project Based Voucher units have an income limit at or below 50% of the area median income (AMI). The time you apply during the week does not impact your position on the list. All applications taken during this time frame will be randomized by a computer and placed on the waiting list to give all applicants an equal chance. Once the
waitlist is exhausted or active for more than two years, Housing Works will purge and remove the remaining applications before
re-opening the waiting list.
Hawks View in La Pine, OR:
Eight – 3-bedroom Project Based Voucher units located in La Pine, OR. This waitlist has a local
residency preference. Priority will be given to applicants who are clients of the Department of Human Services through Child Welfare or Self-Sufficiency, as well as those applicants that
reside in Crook, Deschutes or
Jefferson Counties or whose household includes a family member who works or has been notified that they are hired to work, in Crook, Deschutes or
Jefferson Counties. These
applicants will be served before those residing outside this area.
Ochoco School Crossing in Prineville, OR:
A mix of seven – 1,2-, and
3-bedroom Project Based Voucher units located at Ochoco School Crossing Apartments, Prineville OR. This waitlist has a local residency preference.
Priority will be given to applicants who are clients of the Department of Human Services (DHS) or Saving Grace, as well as those applicants that reside in Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson Counties or whose household includes a family member who works or has been notified that they are hired to work in Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson Counties. These
applicants will be served before those residing outside this area.
Housing Works will offer technical assistance from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on the dates listed above by calling 541-923-1018 or by
